It's been seven months since recreational marijuana got up and running in the state. It's been a money-maker for Ohio, racking up sales of nearly $300 million.

Gov. Mike DeWine is looking to raise the tax. Not every town welcomes the sales, as more than 50 municipalities have banned them.

Meanwhile, Republican state lawmakers are working to gut much of what voters overwhelmingly approved in 2023, when Ohioans voted to pass an initiated statute.
