Community colleges play an important role in the higher education system, notably in providing workforce development and an affordable education.

While Ohio State University receives most of the higher education attention in the region, Columbus State Community College is also crucial to central Ohio's economy, training a new generation of workers in everything from nursing to electrical engineering.
