In 1816, the Ohio General Assembly authorized the construction of county poor houses. Poor houses provided the basic necessities of life - food, clothing and shelter - to those without. A new exhibit at the Wood County Historical Center & Museum looks at poor houses and their legacy. Guests are Kelli Kling, director; Holly Hartlerode, curator; and Jeff Hall, senior VCT lecturer at BGSU.
