Segment 1: We are currently in the Medicare open enrollment period. This means it is time to look at your current Medicare Supplemental Health Insurance plan, if you have one, and determine if it still meets your needs. If you don't have one and are eligible, it means figuring out what you need in a plan and finding the one that works best for you. Gretchen Lopez, Program Director for the Ohio Department of Insurance's Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP), outlines how we can best navigate the Medicare open enrollment process.
Segment 2: The holiday shopping season is in full swing, and now more than ever, with the current economic climate, people need to be smart shoppers. Finer With Age wants to help all of us do the best we can within our limited resources. In this segment, Joan Coughlin, Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations for the Central Ohio Better Business Bureau, and Nadine Ballard, chief of Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section share tips and tidbits on how we can be smart and savvy shoppers not only now, but throughout the year.
