Feagler and Friends - Joe Tait: It's Been a Real Ball December 23, 2011

Tait closed out his NBA Hall of Fame career last season after nearly 40 years behind the microphone in Cleveland. With the exception of two seasons in the 80's Tait was the only man to call play-by-play for the Cavs radio audience since the team debuted in 1970, a span that included more than 3,000 games. He worked these games without a broadcast partner, an arrangement he favored. During that same span he also did stints in the booth for the Indians, Rockers of the WNBA and Cleveland Crusaders of the World Hockey Association.

Tait will talk with Mr. Feagler about his greatest memories, including amazing playoff runs by the Cavaliers, broadcasting Indians games with the legendary Herb Score and the infamous Ten Cent Beer Night riot that's a lasting stain on Cleveland's reputation as a sports town.

He's the subject of a new book from Gray and Company, co-authored with Terry Pluto, entitled Joe Tait: It's Been a Real Ball.
