Tom Steyer is the founder and Co-Senior Managing Partner of Farallon Capital Management, LLC. He is als the co-founder of the OneCalifornia Bank, an Oakland based community development bank.

In 2010, Steyer and his wife, along with Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, signed the "Giving Pledge" donating half their fortunes to charity. Steyer has recently agreed to build the Center for the Next Generation, a non-profit organization that will address children's issues and environmental concerns.

A graduate and member of the Board of Trustees at Stanford University, Steyer is also responsible for creating the TomKat Center for Sustainable Energy at Stanford University.
