Former Senator Alan Simpson currently serves as a co-chairman of Americans for Campaign Reform (http://www.acrreform.org/), is on the Advisory Board of Common Good (http://commongood.org/), and is an active member of the National Commission on Writing.(http://www.host-collegeboard.com/advocacy/writing/) In early 2010, he was named by President Barack Obama to co-chair the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (http://www.fiscalcommission.gov/), focused on tackling the U.S. deficit.
