Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Attorney General Dave Yost proposed a series of police reforms aimed at improving training and increasing transparency and public faith in safety forces. Among the proposals: Outside investigations of use-of-force cases and requiring new recruits to pass a psychological exam. There's also a proposed ban on chokeholds unless an officer's life is in danger. Later, tomorrow is Juneteenth. If you don't know what that holiday represents, you should stay tuned and get an education. Its meaning is even more significant now in the midst of Black Lives Matter protests.
