Two lawsuits before the Ohio Supreme Court could slow down a Republican plan to fast track an issue on the August 8 ballot that makes it harder to amend the Ohio constitution.
The group that opposes the controversial constitution amendment is asking the Ohio Supreme Court to rule on ballot language it called "misleading."
The same group earlier asked the Supreme Court to weigh in on whether Republican lawmakers can legally order a special August 8 election after passing a law that prohibited most of them.
Both matters await the justices' decision as early voting is scheduled to begin in about five weeks.
