Writers Talk - Kristin Hannah

Play

Kristin Hannah was a lawyer before becoming a writer and learning that "it's really hard to write even a bad novel." But her persistence paid off. She has penned more than a dozen titles, several of which are New York Times bestsellers.

She says her latest novel, "Night Road," is based largely on her personal experience during her son's senior year in high school. Hannah, who writes her novels in longhand with a legal pad and a "certain kind of pen," visits Writers Talk to discuss her novels which she says are "about women, for women."
