Writers Talk - James Robenalt

"There are no words, at my command, sufficient to say the full extent of my love for you.." So begins a letter from Warren G. Harding to his mistress Carrie Phillips. Their 15-year affair would produce hundreds of pages of love letters, one U.S. president, and one alleged German spy.

After gaining access to the no-longer-classified letters, Ohio native and author James Robenalt delves into the complexities of their relationship, its effect on Harding's rise to the presidency and the U.S. involvement in The Great War.
