Gretchen Hirsch received her BA in English from the Ohio State University. Her first novel, "Back Again to Me," explores the struggle between a pregnant teen, her mom, and the adoption decision.

Hirsch has spent years writing instructional texts, such as "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Difficult Conversations," "Talking Your Way to the Top: Business English That Works," and "A Love for Learning: Motivation and the Gifted Child." She is also the "chief surgeon" for the Midwest Book Doctors, an organization that assists writers prepare manuscripts for submission to editors and agents.
