Joining us to talk about exciting developments in the treatment of muscular dystrophy are Mike and Julie Kilbarger, whose son Andrew is battling Duchenne's muscular dystrophy, Dr. Jerry Mendell, a neurologist at Childrens Hospital and director of a promising new gene therapy trial (which Andrew Kilbarger is part of), and Blythe Hundley, the Healthcare Services Coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Associations Columbus office. The Kilbargers will be one of the families featured this weekend on Jerry Lewis National MDA Telethon.
