Tony Ellis of Circleville is a bluegrass banjo player. He has composed more than 80 works and received 11 awards from the American Society of Composers and Publishers.

Philip Paul of Cincinnati was a studio musician for the legendary King Records. Born and raised in New York City, he came to Ohio in 1951 to join Tiny Bradshaw's band at the Cotton Club across the Ohio river in Newport, KY.

Katie Laur of Cincinnati is a bluegrass musician whose work took her to Russia, the Kennedy Center, and "Prairie Home Companion." She has a popular radio show on WNKU- "Music from the Hills of Home," and writes also writes a monthly column for CityBeat magazine.
