The State of Ohio - Online Predators; Drive-thru Flu Shots

HEADLINES: The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled against strip club owners and dancers, who had hoped for one last chance to have voters decide to allow or reject new rules on topless clubs. And voters also won't make a choice on overturning a state law that Gov. Strickland tried to veto in his first few moments in office - the law that places limits on the amount plaintiffs can collect in lawsuits against companies that at one time may have manufactured paint containing lead. Karen Gillmor, the widow of Congressman Paul Gillmor will announce next week that she wants to return to the Ohio Senate. State senators have unanimously passed Gov. Strickland's complex state energy plan, which basically says Ohio won't drop its government controls over energy prices next year. After a few hearings on teacher misconduct, state senators chose to fold new rules on school employees into a bill related to the scheduling of elementary achievement tests. An arrest at the Statehouse.

SEGMENT 1: There was a somewhat extraordinary event this week at the Statehouse - a man was arrested for violating a law that legislators are considering making stronger. 48 year old Barry Mentser was arrested by Lt. Jeff Braley of Hamilton Township in Warren County, who was at the Statehouse testifying on a bill that would toughen up penalties for sex offenders who prey on kids on line. That bill is sponsored by Republican Sen. Tim Schaffer of Lancaster, who's here to talk about it.

SEGMENT 2: In some counties, there are drive thrus for banks, food, dry cleaning, and in Union County.....flu shots. Jason Orcena with the Union County Health Department says this is also a test of the county's mass vaccination plan. Marysville residents Pat Walker and Will Wiebel go through the clinic.

HIGHLIGHTS: Iimages from a ceremony honoring four Ohio WWII veterans as chevaliers, or knights of the French Legion of Honor. The medal is France's highest military honor.
