Gov. John Kasich says Ohio should get more money from casinos, saying he thinks taxpayers "got a raw deal" from casino operators. He's also hired two out-of-state firms - for $400 an hour - to advise him on gaming policies surrounding casinos, electronic slot machines at horseracing tracks and Indian gaming. A bill allowing concealed guns to be carried into establishments where alcohol is served has passed the Ohio Senate. Ohio is on track to break a record for the number of death row prisoners executed in a calendar year with the execution of jailhouse killer Clarence Carter this week.
