For the last forty years America has worried about where to get its energy from. But the discovery of fracking and the apparently abundant supply of shale has turned those tables. Some say this boom in the local energy industry will lead to a renaissance in manufacturing. Others advise caution, and point to a recent fire at a drilling site as the impetus for new rules to govern the industry.
