The Sound of Ideas - The Life and Times of James Traficant

Play

Flamboyant Ohio politician James A. Traficant, Jr. is gone, but likely never to be forgotten. Fanciful descriptions pepper the press: 'He wore a pompadour that looked like it was combed with a Sunbeam Mixmaster,' said one writer. 'A bellicose bully who wouldn't hurt a fly,' wrote another. Despite his flaws, the plain-spoken Traficant spent 17 years in Congress and was a hometown hero in the Mahoning Valley. Join Mike McIntyre for a look at Traficant's career and the corruption charges that brought him down.
