Vaccines help us to ward off diseases that used to fell humans: mumps, measles, malaria, even the plague. The flu shot -- when scientists get the mix right -- helps keep influenza at bay. And when devastating diseases like Ebola wreck havoc,the race is on to find a vaccine. On this Science Cafe edition of the Sound of Ideas, we talk about the science behind vaccines and their impact on society now and in the future.
