The Sound of Ideas - Cleveland Brain Gain

Play

For decades Cleveland has struggled with brain drain: educating young people and then sending them to metropolitan hubs like New York, L.A., or Chicago. But according to a recent study from the Cleveland State University Center for Population Dynamics, Cleveland is now one of the top cities for brain gain. Between 2000 and 2012, the Cleveland area gained about 60,000 people 25 and over with a college degree while losing 70,000 people without a bachelor's degree.
