Two weeks after the official launch of the Lead Safe Cleveland Coalition, a separate citizens group is pushing for urgent action to protect children from lead poisoning. Cleveland Lead Advocates for Safe Housing has proposed a law requiring landlords to have older rental properties certified as lead safe. And the group says it will go directly to voters if swift action isn't taken by the city of Cleveland and the coalition. We'll talk with two proponents of the legislation and the Cleveland city council member whose committee is dealing with the lead problem. Later, David Gilbert of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission on the huge year for events in Cleveland, including the Major League All Star Game.
