School Safety

Following another mass shooting, this time at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, school safety is again at the top of the news cycle. These incidents raise many questions about preventing such shootings, how to deal with them as they are happening and a wide range of proposed solutions to the problem. Joining us to talk about the this and the research into the possible sociological causes involved are Jorge M. Chavez, Ph.D., associate professor and Thomas J. Mowen, Ph.D., assistant professor, both of Department of Sociology, BGSU.
