Student Mobility Summit

The Thomas B. Fordham Institute's pioneering and comprehensive Student Nomads study investigates the phenomenon of student mobility in more than 3,500 public school buildings (traditional district and charter) across Ohio. This is first-of-its-kind research - with 11 funders from across the education and philanthropic sectors - involving analysis of over 5 million student records over two school years, with information gleaned directly from the Ohio Department of Education.

The numbers are staggering, especially in the urban areas of Ohio. To help policymakers and the general public make sense of the data, Fordham is convening community conversations across the state to discuss what the numbers mean for real families and real schools.
