State Senator Peggy Lehner (R-Kettering) joins lawmakers and education leaders to announce reforms aimed at addressing cycles of poverty by helping keep students with disciplinary concerns on the path to diploma attainment.

Students who have been expelled or suspended from school are up to 10 times more likely to drop out of high school, experience academic failure and grade retention, and face incarceration than those who are not, according to a 2014 report by the U.S. Departments of Education and Health & Human Services.
