Magaret Patterson Haddix is the author of the young-adult series "The Shadow Children" and "The Missing." An Ohio native who grew up on a farm near Washington Court House, Haddix is an award-winning author of more than 20 books for children and young adults. Her book "Found" (2008) is a 2009 "Choose to Read Ohio" selection.
