Ohio Channel Presents - Ohio Department of Natural Resources 2013 "State of the Play"
ODNR Director James Zehringer, ODNR Chief of Oil & Gas Rick Simmers, and JobsOhio Managing Director of Energy, Chemicals & Polymers David Mustine discuss the state of shale, wells & fracking in Ohio. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources announced that Utica shale oil and gas production increased 93 percent for oil and 80 percent for gas from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, producing wells have increased from two to 87. Utica wells represent less than 1 percent of all producing oil and gas wells in Ohio.
