Every year we celebrate March as National Develop- mental Disabilities Awareness Month.
This year's theme is, "Supports Matter." Today's event is the kickoff of a month-long effort to help others understand who we are as individuals with disabilities, family members or stakeholders and how we are all changing the way we can participate in our communities as friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
Shari Cooper, this years Master of Ceremonies, welcomes Ohio Governor Mike DeWine for remarks. Also Joining in are two other state wide office holders Lt. Governor Jon Husted and Treasurer Robert Sprague.
Department of Developmental Disabilities, Director Jeff Davis and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities Agency, Director Kevin Miller are here to help motivate and Advocacy Representatives Travis Dresbach and Dara Walburn bring their own personal stories.
And, finally joining us is Dustin Wright, one of the founders of Rest Assured®, and the founder of Disability Cocoon, which is a technology catalyst designed to make learning, discovering, funding, implementing, and supporting enabling technologies easy.
