In accordance with Ohio law, the Ballot Board meets for the purpose of carrying out its duties under the Ohio Constitution Article XVI, Section I, including approving ballot language for the statewide issue that will appear on the May 8, 2018 Primary Election ballot - a constitutional amendment regarding congressional redistricting proposed by the Ohio General Assembly.

The Ballot Board will also determine whether a proposed constitutional amendment regarding Kidney Dialysis Patient Protection contains only one proposed amendment. Once the certification is received from the Attorney General, the Ballot Board has 10 days to complete this task.

Secretary Husted serves as the Chairman of the Ohio Ballot Board. Other members include State Senator Jay Hottinger, State Senator Michael Skindell, State Representative Kathleen Clyde and Mr. William Morgan.
