This is your Legislative Update for the week of May 25th

In the Ohio Senate, Amended House Bill 153 passed. Sponsored by Representative Dovilla, this bill changes the date on which the presidential primary elections are held in the state of Ohio.

In the Ohio House of Representatives, Substitute House Bill 80 passed. Sponsored by Representative Burkley, this bill defines agritourism and establishes immunity in a civil action for agritourism providers. Sponsored by Representative Pelanda, House Bill 131 also passed. This bill makes changes to the law regarding Animal Diseases, livestock dealers, and pesticide licensing. Sponsored by Senator Manning , Substitute Senate Bill 7 passed. This bill prohibits the sale of pure caffeine products and of powdered or crystalline alcohol for human consumption. House Bill 37 passed. Sponsored by Representatives Stinziano and Duffey, this bill exempts persons in publicly owned markets from the open container law under certain conditions. House Bill 142 also passed. Sponsored by Representative Christina Hagan, this bill designates the month of March as "Endometriosis Awareness Month." Sponsored by Representative Amstutz, Substitute House Bill 23 passed. This bill allows a portion of any income from oil and gas leases on state land to fund temporary income tax reductions and local government capital improvement projects.
