Governor John Kasich & Lt. Governor Mary Taylor accept the gubernatorial oath for the second time, administered by Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor of the Ohio Supreme Court.
A New Day Committee Chairman Doug Preisse opened the ceremony, and Bishop Roger Ames of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes offered the invocation. Colors were presented by Members of the Ohio National Guard 16th Engineer Brigade, and the pledge of allegiance was offered by Emma and Reese Kasich, joined by students from After-School All-Stars Ohio.
"How Great Thou Art" and "Beautiful Day" were performed by the Central State University Chorus from Wilberforce, OH.
The benediction was offered by Dr. Todd C Davidson, Antioch Baptist Church, Cleveland, OH.
