Governor Taft signs Senate Bill 236, a bipartisan bill that authorizes and appropriates funding for two key components of the Jobs for Ohio bond issue: Third Frontier Research and Development projects and Job-Ready Site Development.
Ohio voters approved the ballot initiative in November 2005. The Governor was joined by Lt. Governor Bruce Johnson, Senate President Bill Harris (R-Ashland), House Speaker Jon Husted (R-Kettering), bill sponsor Sen. John Carey (R-Wellston), Sen. Steve Austria (R-Beavercreek), Rep. Chuck Calvert (R-Medina), Rep. Bill Seitz (R-Cincinnati) and Rep. Shirley Smith (D-Cleveland).
