Deadline Now - 8-5-2016 - Governing Toledo

Everyone has been focused on this year's national election, but meanwhile, in Toledo, the City Council and the Mayor have a city to keep running. They were elected last year and don't need to campaign now - but they do need to govern, and to do so with shrinking resources. Among the questions facing them is whether to place an income tax levy on the ballot. So - how are things going? How do they think Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson is doing? And what do they think they might be able to do to stop the population loss, get more revenue, and attract more jobs to Toledo? To discuss a wide range of issues facing the city are two of the city's six at-large council members, Rob Ludeman, a Republican, and Larry Sykes, a Democrat.
