Applause - Inlet Dance Theater

Up until 1959, the product for which Detroit was best known around the country and the world was automobiles. But, between the end of 1950s and the beginning of the 60s, Detroit grabbed the world's attention with an even more glamorous set of exports, hit records and polished pop stars. They were molded into shape by the music factory known as Motown. On now at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is an exhibit that celebrates that record company's sound and influence, and joining host Dee Perry to talk about the exhibit is Curator Howard Kramer.

Dance is all about movement. But for the members of Inlet Dance Theater, it's about more than just moving the body... it's about moving the spirit. Founded in 2001, Inlet prides itself in furthering the human condition through dance. Founding Artistic Director Bill Wade will talk with us, and we'll share a performance of Inlet from our Smith Studio.
